From karen.blackmon at nyu.edu Fri Sep 9 12:01:37 2011 From: karen.blackmon at nyu.edu (Karen Blackmon) Date: Fri, 9 Sep 2011 12:01:37 -0400 Subject: [Clinical.CogNeuro] Clinical Neuropsychology Practicum at NYU Message-ID: Students, Are you interested in learning more about clinical neuropsychology? I am currently offering a practicum opportunity for students who are considering clinical neuropsychology as a career and would like to gain experience in neuropsychological test administration. This practicum would require 6-10 hours per week starting in October of this semester and continuing through next semester. In the beginning, you will be taught how to administer IQ, memory, visuospatial, language, attention, and executive functioning tests. Eventually, with enough proficiency, you will be given the opportunity to administer these tests to individuals with neurological syndromes. This is a unique opportunity to learn about brain and behavior relationships and to develop a valuable skill set. This practicum would be particularly relevant for advanced undergraduate students and M.A. students. There is the potential to extend the practicum into the summer or next year if students are interested in gaining more extensive clinical experience or developing a research project. Space is very limited so please respond only if you have strong interest and can devote adequate time on a weekly basis. To follow-up, please forward a cover letter and CV to me at karen.blackmon at nyu.edu.
