Much of the clinical work in epilepsy focuses on managing this intractable group, and yet in spite of many advances in diagnosis and treatment there are very few biomarkers available to clinicians at diagnosis that can predict who will fall in the intractable group. The Human Epilepsy Project is a multi-center imaging study (n = 500 patients) designed to determine the factors that predict poor response to treatment. Participants are imaged longitudinally at diagnosis and at 3 years following diagnosis. In this talk I will present preliminary findings from this cohort, including estimation of 'brain age' using machine-learning based analysis of whole brain T1-weighted MRI, and network connectivity abnormalities derived from resting state fMRI. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
